EVO ICL™ can be compared to an implantable contact lens, as it is an additive technology that does not involve removing or replacing the eye’s natural lens for improvement. Ideal for individuals who may not qualify for LASIK due to thin corneas or high levels of myopia, EVO ICL offers UV protection and the option to be removed if necessary. This procedure can significantly reduce or even eliminate your dependence on glasses or contact lenses, helping you embrace a life of visual freedom.
Biocompatibility
The EVO ICL lens is crafted from Collamer, a unique material that includes collagen, ensuring it works harmoniously with your eye’s natural structure. This biocompatibility provides optimal comfort and seamless integration, promoting long-term stability and vision clarity.
No Risk of Dry Eye
Since the EVO ICL procedure doesn’t involve reshaping or removing corneal tissue, it significantly reduces the risk of developing dry eye syndrome. This makes it an excellent option for individuals prone to dry eyes who want to reduce reliance on eye drops or those seeking a solution without this potential complication.
Reversability
EVO ICL offers long-term flexibility because it can be removed if your prescription changes significantly or if future vision correction advancements become available. This ensures you’re not locked into a permanent solution, giving you peace of mind.
Improved Night Vision
Clinical studies have shown that EVO ICL provides enhanced vision in low-light settings, delivering excellent night vision. This benefit is especially helpful for nighttime driving or navigating dimly lit environments.
Benefits of EVO ICL
EVO ICL offers a range of advantages for individuals seeking clear, sharp vision without the daily reliance on glasses or contact lenses. Here are some of the key benefits that make EVO ICL a popular choice for vision correction:

Frequently Asked Questions About EVO ICL™
What are the benefits of EVO ICL?
EVO ICL can effectively correct myopia without damaging the corneal tissue. The small incision is just large enough to fit the lens and doesn’t require any sutures. This lens is composed of the biocompatible material Collamer, which functions well with the body and doesn’t cause a reaction. Once this is placed inside the eye, you can achieve long-lasting vision improvement.
What if my vision changes?
Should your eye prescription change, EVO ICL can be replaced. You can also wear glasses or contact lenses to account for the vision change, or you may have the EVO ICL lens removed to undergo a surgical eye correction.
Can the lenses dry out or get dirty like a contact lens?
No. The EVO ICL lens doesn’t require any maintenance, though we recommend continuing to see your eye doctor once a year to monitor your eye health.
Is the EVO ICL noticeable to others?
No. The EVO lens cannot be seen by the naked eye, so no one will notice you are even wearing a corrective lens. Only your eye doctor will be able to detect the presence of a lens.
What is the EVO ICL composed of?
The lens material used in the EVO ICL procedure contains a purified collagen known as Collamer. Proprietary to STAAR Surgical Company, this material is a stable option that responds well with the body. The lens also provides a filter from ultraviolet light.
How long will the EVO ICL stay in my eye?
The EVO ICL is meant to stay in the eye without the need for additional care. If the lens needs to be removed or replaced, a trained ophthalmologist can easily do so.
Can the EVO ICL be felt once it is in place?
No. Since the lens is placed between the iris and the natural lens, patients don’t notice the sensation that a foreign object is in their eye.
